The laboratory at the University of Malaya has been set up and started being used in PBL activities in the spring of 2019. The lab includes workstations, interactive TVs that facilitate collaboration as wide projectors, and auxiliary equipment used in PBL activities including Raspberry Pi and Arduino kits as well as a 3D printer.
The lab is organized in collaboration “islands”, each of which is equipped with a writable surface and a workstation. Interactive TVs throughout the room facilitate collaboration.
The lab was used in the spring of 2019 in a Human Computer Interaction course. The students deployed writable surfaces for designing solutions that they later implemented using Arduino and Raspberry Pi devices, while they used the interactive TV for collaboration. The 3D printer was deployed for printing prototypes.
