The 5th consortium meeting was originally planned to take place in Battambang, Cambodia. However, due to Covid-19 the meeting took place virtually on May 13-14, 2021. All partners participated in the meeting. During the meeting the partners discussed the current implementation status of the project, evaluated interim outcomes, and made implementation plans for the following 6 months. More specifically, the meeting focused on the implementation phase of the project. The partners discussed the deployment of the ALIEN solution, including the physical laboratories and the digital problem-based learning platform, in courses at their institutions, stressing the importance of deploying the solution in several courses for the benefit of students. Furthermore, partners discussed instructor training, establishing an objective for continuous training spanning several sessions at each partner site to ensure wider impact. The partners further discussed the on-going implementation of ALIEN webinars, aiming at 6-7 webinars until the end of the project, to be complemented by local community events organized by project partners. The partners further discussed the publication of educational activities on the ALIEN problem-based learning digital platform and the deployment of these activities in courses.
